Mud-hutchSpring
has sprung. The redwing blackbirds have returned to the fields and mud is everywhere
on the farm. Stuck to the tractor, stuck to the horses and even the ducks cant
seem to keep it off their backs. When he was four years old, our son Will named
the type of mud that happens this time of year. He called it mud-hutch.
Ever since then, we have referred to this seasonal malady of mud as mud-hutch. The
strong, warming rays of the April sun bring out the best in me for desiring to
be productive. This also brings about a to-do list nearly half a mile long. You
probably have one, too. As an anxiety-chopper, Im offering my short
course in time management to help you stay focused on being productive with the
important things. I ve spent years studying the topic of time management;
read books, listened to tapes and taken courses on the subject. Just for you,
I have consolidated my research to offer this free short course in Time Management:
Time Management Short Course 1. Make a to-do
list. 2. Label the items A, B, C by priority. 3. Do
the As. Forget the rest. It is that simple. We
spend vast amounts of energy trying to manage our time so that we can accomplish
more. Most often, we accomplish less. Distractions, the Bs
and Cs in our lives are much like mud-hutch sticking to everything
and keeping us off- task on the As. To-do Bs and Cs are
like split-screen TV, the stock ticker and call waiting screaming for your focus
all at once. Try just doing the As today. Let me
know how it works. |
